The North Edmonton Wizards Lacrosse
Club is a registered not-for-profit
sports club that requires and thrives
on volunteer efforts. Each year individuals
are encouraged to step up and put
their names forward for any of the
positions in the club.
The executive consists of:
- President
- Vice-President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Registrar

In addition, the club requires individuals
in the following positions: Equipment
Manager, Area 17 Representative, Bingo
Coordinator, Box Committee, Discipline
Committee, Facilities, Promotions,
and Apparel.
As well, the six category representatives:
Mini-Tyke/Tyke, Novice, Peewee, Bantam,
Midget, and Junior. The category representatives
attend executive meetings and relay
information to their respective parents
and are responsible for issues that
concern their age groups.
The 2004 season has the majority
of individuals in place but several
positions will DEFINITELY be vacated
in 2005.
The President chairs the meetings
of the club (approximately 8 per year),
attends GELC meetings on behalf of
the club, is considered the Wizards
representative by the Alberta Lacrosse
Association (ALA), is co-signor of
all Wizards expenses, is expected
to moderate in any conflict/issue
that may involve the club or members
of, and has one vote on executive
decisions.
The VP must be willing to substitute
for the President should he/she be
unable to perform his/her duties.
Has one vote on executive decisions.
May be asked to attend out-of-town
ALA meetings at club's expense.
The Secretary will attend and record
all meetings of executive, will produce
a hard copy form of the minutes of
each meeting, required to make inquiries
and/or calls on behalf of the club,
and has one vote on executive decisions.

The Treasurer is responsible for all
aspects of the club's financial picture.
Must record all transactions and produce
monthly financially statements (presently
the club uses Quicken software), is
co-signor of all Wizards expenses,
and has one vote on executive decisions.
The Registrar is responsible for all
aspects of the club's registration.
Must record all registration data
and collect registration fees, at
times can be the co-signor of all
Wizards expenses, and has one vote
on executive decisions.
Responsible for all club equipment,
distribution of and year-end collection
of all individual team equipment,
carries out executive motions in regards
to matters of purchase, repair or
retirement of club equipment, and
has one vote on executive decisions.
Attends Area 17 meetings and reports
back to the executive on said meetings
and has one vote on executive decisions.
Attends registration to get people
signed up for bingos. Phones the bingo
volunteers to remind them of their
upcoming bingos. Makes sure there
are enough volunteers at each bingo.
Chairs the bingos (majority at Londonderry).
Two or even three people sharing this
position would be ideal.

Attends GELC meetings where representatives
of the other Edmonton area lacrosse
clubs discuss various initiatives
or proposed changes to box lacrosse
and reports back to the executive
and has one vote on executive decisions.
Attends GELC meetings with appointed
representatives of the other Edmonton
area lacrosse clubs in order to review
and rule on infractions occurring
in games of box lacrosse and reports
the rulings back to the executive
and has one vote on executive decisions.
Coordinates the distribution of practice
floor time for all wizard teams, attends
GELC meetings where representatives
of the other Edmonton area lacrosse
clubs discuss various initiatives
or proposed changes to rental of facilities
for league play and reports back to
the executive and has one vote on
executive decisions.
Attends GELC meetings where representatives
of the other Edmonton area lacrosse
clubs discuss various initiatives
that promote box lacrosse and reports
back to the executive and has one
vote on executive decisions.
Acts as the club's representative
in regards to the purchase and resale
of club themed garments or accessories,
reports said purchases or sales to
the treasurer and has one vote on
executive decisions.
